How to choose the best option for your wedding

There are a few things to consider when choosing place cards vs. escort cards.

The first thing to consider is how you want to list your seating assignments. The choices are seating chart, or escort card display. When making this decision you’ll want to consider your venue, and how things will be set up. Another consideration is how your place cards will look in light of your other wedding stationery (invitation design, ceremony programs, signage etc.). You’ll want your place cards to blend seamlessly with your overall style.

Think about what kind of place card holders you will need, if any. This is especially important if you are having an outdoor reception. You don’t want your cards blowing away in the Nebraska wind! These options are always a hit with wedding guests!

Escort Cards

If you’ve chosen not to have a seating chart, then you will need an escort card display or table. This is where your guests will find their seating assignments. Escort cards include first and last names, as well as the table number. If your wedding is formal, you will also include titles. Sometimes they will include the guest’s entree choice. Your guests will bring their escort cards to their table to save their seat. Escort cards with wax seal numbers are a perfect way to add elegant detail to your wedding reception.
